Tisch Future Artists is accepting applications for a free program offered to high school students in their first, second, or third year. It provides a unique and focused experience in a particular creative discipline (e.g., theatre arts, filmmaking, game design, etc.), with students expected to commit to 14 Saturdays from February through mid-May. Many programs run all day and on campus, giving students access to the same facilities and instruction-level as our undergraduate students!
To highlight one of several Future Artists programs, students enrolled in Future Dramatic Writers will spend their Saturdays from approximately 10am-5pm on-campus learning the craft of dramatic writing (focusing on playwriting, screenwriting, and tv writing). In addition to regular class time with lectures, discussion, writing exercises, and other activities, the class will take a trip to the theatre on one Saturday. The program will conclude with a reading of student work, performed by professional actors and open to friends and family.
