Dear AFSE Community:
It is with deep sadness to share with the wider AFSE community the passing of longtime staff member and paraprofessional, Fernando Fernandez. Mr. Fernandez passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024. He served as a paraprofessional at AFSE beginning in 2015 through last school year. Mr. Fernandez has been an integral part of our community and worked with countless students to help them be successful in school and beyond.
Mr. Fernandez brought a calming presence to our classrooms. In addition to being a committed educator, he was a passionate runner and loved cooking.
We will carry on from Mr. Fernandez his patience, humility and compassion, and continue to keep him in our memory and his family in our thoughts.
