Action Item #3 (11th Grade)SAT Prep:  AFSE is excited to partner again with Kaplan to offer SAT Prep beginning in February. SAT prep will be on Wednesday and Thursdays (3:30 - 5:30) and two Saturdays (9:00 - 1:00) on 2/9 and 3/9.  The program will be offered for free; however, students will be expected to pay a $55 refundable deposit that will be given back based on number of sessions attended.  Students with perfect attendance will receive back the full deposit.  An online survey has been shared with students last week to sign up and reserve a spot in this program. Students who cannot pay the deposit can request a waiver.  Priority will be given to 11th grade.  Spots that are not assumed by 11th grade will be offered first to 10th and then 9th.
Action Item #4 (11th Grade): Students received an opt-in form via email from Mr. Nunez to participate in the College Overnight trip on March 12 - 13 to Syracuse and Albany.  Students must complete the form to participate.  The refundable deposit for the trip is $20 payable by cash or check to Academy for Software Engineering (money orders not accepted).  Students can select a request for a financial waiver on the form.  Forms must be submitted by 1/11/19.
Action Item #5 (All Students): Please see the AFSE Club List, Tutoring Schedule, and Student Opportunities linked below. Some clubs are still finalizing their meeting schedule and will be shared as soon as they are completed.
Students are expected to arrive to school in time to be in class by 9:00 AM.  Students who arrive after 9:00 AM are considered late.  It is essential that students arrive on time to maximize learning opportunities and succeed in class. If you need support, please contact the school.
If you have not  received a phone call from Ms. Cameron, please be sure to update your contact information on the emergency contact card that students will receive next week.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Ms. Cameron at or at 212-253-3294.
