Dear Students and Families,
We hope you are well and enjoying the final days of summer. We are excited to welcome you back and wish you a successful new school year! To help you prepare, please review the following important information for the start of school.
First Day of School
- Date: Thursday, September 4, 2025
- School Hours: 9:00 AM - 3:20 PM
- Arrival Times:
- For the first week, please arrive by 8:15 AM to allow time for entry
- After the first week, please arrive by 8:45 AM
- Please do not arrive before 8:00 AM
Daily Schedule & Policies
- Daily Schedule: Students will have a full 7-period day, including lunch, from Monday to Friday. Daily attendance is mandatory.
- After-School Activities: Until further notice, the only after-school activities are PSAL. All students must leave school at 3:20 PM unless they have a confirmed activity.
- Entrance & Exit: All students will enter and exit the building at the entrance on Irving Street and 16th Street. The doors open at 8:00 AM.
- Security & Safety: All students must go through the scanning process to enter the building. Please note that students are not permitted to enter with open containers. Grab-and-Go breakfast will be available in the lobby.
New Electronics Policy
Effective the first day of school, no personal internet-enabled electronic devices may be accessible during the school day. This includes laptops, smartwatches, and tablets. Only cell phones are permitted, and they will be collected and locked away for the day. Each student will be given a special case for their phone, which can be released at the end of the day. Please review the new Cell Phone Policy based on New York State and NYC Public Schools guidelines.
Student Schedules & First Day
- Student schedules will be available in JumpRope starting next week and handed out on day one.
- On the first day, students should report to their designated advisory room for their first-period class to receive their schedule. Advisory room assignments will be posted on the walls.
- OMNY Cards will also be provided during the first period on September 4th.
