Mrs. M's Bio

Mrs. Mushtaq is a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist who has been a part of The Academy for Software Engineering since 2023. She brings more than a decade of experience working with children and adolescents across the New York area, where she has evaluated and treated individuals with a broad range of speech and language needs.

She holds a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Her career spans diverse educational and clinical settings, where she has provided intervention in the areas of expressive and receptive language, articulation, pragmatic language, and fluency. Although her clinical experience ranges from birth through age 21, she has a particular passion for working with adolescents and supporting their growth as confident communicators.

Beyond direct therapy, she has partnered closely with families to help them understand and foster their children’s communication development. She has maintained certification with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) throughout her career. Trained in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and cognitive‑communication needs, she is committed to strengthening communication skills and addressing challenges in language impairment, social pragmatics, articulation and fluency. Her work is grounded in evidence-based practice, collaboration, and a deep belief in every person’s potential to grow as a communicator.
