Ms. Rembas's Bio

Kate Rembas is a dedicated physical education teacher and volleyball coach with extensive experience working with students across K–12 education. She has been a tenured physical education teacher at Park Slope Collegiate since 2019. Kate earned her Master’s degree in Physical Education from Queens College and her Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from Baruch College/CUNY. Her passion for athletics began as a student-athlete, competing on the Women’s Volleyball Team at Baruch College, where she was part of the 2011 CUNY Conference Championship team.
Kate has coached volleyball at the varsity, junior varsity, middle school, and club levels throughout her career. She currently coaches both the Girls’ and Boys’ Volleyball teams at Washington Irving Campus. This spring marks her third year coaching boys’ volleyball, adding to her extensive experience working with student-athletes at different levels. Kate is passionate about helping athletes develop their skills while building teamwork, confidence, leadership, communication, and resilience. She believes athletics provide students with valuable opportunities to challenge themselves, grow as individuals, and reach their full potential both on and off the court.
