Ashley Cameron's Bio
From a young age, Ashley Cameron knew she wanted to work in education. While she initially imagined becoming a teacher, experiences with her own high school educators opened her eyes to the many ways she could support students outside of the classroom. Her interest in both education and psychology eventually led her to earn a B.A. in Psychology with honors from Lehman College and later pursue graduate studies in School Counseling.
Ashley joined the AFSE community in 2014 as Parent Coordinator and transitioned into her role as School Counselor in 2021. Having grown alongside the AFSE community for more than a decade, she is passionate about helping students navigate high school, discover their interests, find their voices, and build meaningful plans for their futures. She strives to create a school environment where students feel known, valued, and supported — the same kind of environment she would want for her own children.
Outside of school, Ashley is a proud mom who enjoys crafting, spending time with her family, and finding new creative projects to take on.
