Welcome to my page!
I have been teaching at the Academy for Software Engineering for 5 years in the History Department teaching Global History, US History, Economics, and Participation in Government. This year I am teaching AP US History which is a subject I have always wanted to teach especially haven taken the class in high school!
I attended SUNY Stonybrook where I majored in History and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in 2009. In 2010, I started teaching in Sachem Central School District where I was a substitute teacher for three years growing as an educator which taught me how to teach history in a fun and engaging way while relating content to current events and fostering a love of learning. It is from this experience that I am at AFSE since 2014. In my time at AFSE,I have earned my Master's Degree in Literacy K-12 which has helped me frame reading and writing in a way that all students can meet writing mastery goals. I look forward to history at AFSE in the upcoming year.
