Course Description

Anatomy & Physiology at AFSE relies on a project based curriculum that focuses on the study of the human body, creating many opportunities for students to engage in inquiry learning through scientific investigations and research. Units of study will include (1) Cells, Tissues and Organ Systems , (2) Respiratory System & Cancer, (3) Cardiovascular System, and (4) The Five Senses. This course will provide opportunities for students to demonstrate the following overarching skills: collecting and organizing scientific data, summarizing scientific texts, finding relevant evidence to support a claim, public speaking, digital portfolio curation. This course does not have a Regents exam.
