Ms. D'Antonio's Bio

Deanna D’Antonio has always been passionate about mathematics, learning, and helping others. However, she attributes her initial desires to teach to a few very special and motivational educators that helped her realize her potential. On a quest to do the same for other students, Deanna began her teaching career as an undergraduate at the University at Albany where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics & Spanish. She later built on her foundation of mathematics attending Teachers College, Columbia University and earning a Master of Arts in Secondary Mathematics Education. As a postgraduate student, Deanna advanced her teaching toolbox by completing a TESOL certification extension through Queens College. Now entering her 4th year with the DOE and 3rd year at AFSE, Deanna is proud to say she is an early career Math for America teacher & is excited for the opportunity to continue growing professionally within and outside of the AFSE community.
